Amc theaters and Autism
Posted on 20 Nov, 2011

AMC theaters in Washington have a special showing once a month specifically for autistic children and their caregivers. They make rhe movie more sensory appropriate! Check it out in your area. Keep me posted. Perhaps we can get it all on the autspot calendar.

Would love to share this with my classroom of parents, if it was available in NY. What a great and fun resource...

AMC is wonderful for doing this. Definitely should be a nationwide thing...

I wish the theaters in my are would do this. Simply getting tickets and snacks can be hard on me and my son because once he starts getting over stimulated by all the noises and lots of people he wants to run and jump around and getting him to calm down and sit in a seat for the movie can be a very hard task. Here there are only carmike theaters.
