Hi Everyone! I am a university student from the northeast and currently enrolled in an Autism class. In order to gain a better understanding of autism, we were assigned a project in which we would "adopt a family" who has a child with autism. It would generally involve a once a week interaction on this blog between myself and the family, where I would ask questions or talk about topics related to what we discuss in class in order to get a first-hand perspective on someone directly affected by autism. This would last until about the end of April and everything will be kept confidential. If there is a family that would be interested in sharing their experiences with me for the semester, please feel free to contact me on this blog,(we can go from there) it would be greatly appreciated! I am really excited about this project because I am a soon to be teacher and I have worked with many students who have Autism and just love the idea of getting to learn more about it!
