Autism and Behavioral Consulting is a Christian company dedicated to making a difference in children, and families of children, with special and/or behavioral needs. At Autism and Behavioral Consulting, we utilize the principles of B.F. Skinner's Verbal Behavior (VB) approach to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to provide indvidualzed 1:1 intensive therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, sensory integration disorder, and others! We work with individuals aged 15 months- adult with or without a diagnosis...no diagnosis is required for services!
We focus on providing therapy in the natural environment (Natural Environment Teaching) and language development. In our programs, children learn by having fun! While therapy is structured and follows specific guidelines and principles, we want the children to enjoy doing therapy. Generally (with our younger children), our clients think that they are playing rather than "working" and therefore, make excellent progress because they WANT to be in the therapy environment!
With our behavioral intervention programs, we not only focus on teaching the individual replacement behaviors and how to appropriately act in situations; we teach the parents/caregivers/teachers/etc. how to respond to and prevent problem behaviors.
ANY individual can learn, it is up to us to figure out how to teach them! |
