ABOARD’s mission is to achieve the maximum social, educational, and vocational potential of Pennsylvania children, adolescents, and adults with autism. Its core objectives are to provide families with: personal and tailored information, training and assistance to quickly navigate the systems towards receiving the required services, advocacy help and educational conferences and seminars.
Since its founding as a 501© (3) advocacy organization in 1996, the need for support from ABOARD has continued to grow as rapidly as the rate of diagnosis. ABOARD receives and responds to thousands of requests, from families and professionals alike, for information and guidance relating to diagnosis, treatment, educational and vocational needs, medical assistance and family support.
