Brain Balance Achievement Centers
Mequon WI
Click here for more information The Brain Balance Program is a comprehensive, individualized program that integrates physical, sensory and motor activities, effective educational and behavioral methods, and proper nutrition. Without using medication, medical procedures, or psychotherapy, the Brain Balance goal is to correct a fundamental imbalance between the two hemispheres of the brain – a “communication breakdown” – that results in a range of negative symptoms and behaviors. Over the last 15 years, we have helped hundreds of children become more focused, improve their academic performance and enhance their communication and social interaction skills. Brain Balance does not rely on drugs or medical procedures, but we do work with children that are already on medication. The individualized Brain Balance program gives children and their families results that are repeatable, so the next child coming through the doors can succeed just as the first one did. Parents will see their child become more focused, improve his or her academic performance and enhance his communication and social skills. This is the goal of the program. Often, parents of children with developmental and learning disorders have been told that they can only expect so much from their child. But the Brain Balance program shows that it is possible for every child to know what it’s like to succeed. An important initial stage in the program is the assessment of the child. This comprehensive evaluation will tell the Brain Balance Director whether or not the program can help the child and show them where to begin in addressing the child’s challenges. The program first improves each brain function individually, then progressively integrates it with the rest of the brain. The program is not difficult, but it does require a commitment from both parent and child, especially since it may involve changes in the child’s diet. Once enrolled in the program, families find it very easy to adapt to these changes – especially when they see the positive results that the program produces in their child and in the family dynamic.
